Prior supervisor/manager/director experience having direct reports and HR responsibility for ambulatory analysts is required
Cert or lapsed cert in Ambulatory is required
Strongly preferred to have started out as an AMB analyst and grew into leadership positions
This individual engages with all levels of leaders across the continuum of care, in his/her assigned area of responsibility, to facilitate planning, coordination, and implementation of patient-centric clinical information system initiatives
The Manager Clinical Informatics is responsible for developing strategic clinical informatics plans and serves as a champion and change agent for complex clinical projects and systems that supports efficiency and effectiveness for end users, with the primary goal of advancing evidence-based practice
Responsibilities for this individual include training, mentoring and coaching assigned informatics associates on their daily activities
Identifies areas of integration and facilitates discussions, discovery, analysis, strategy and coordination of efforts
Works with Epic, leadership, and advisory committees to facilitate key decisions and actions
Provides best practices to maintain momentum of integrated workgroups by providing recommendations on data gathering, analysis, decision making, and build
Utilizes Galaxy as resource for best practice builds and solutions
Works with minimal supervision
Acts as a resource for Application Teams
Helps direct project team with eye focused toward the future
Guides and coordinates project team efforts
Leads assignment of testing resources
Identifies application intersection points and guides teams in build to support fully seamless and integrated process
Supports build teams in managing task, activity and phases of work
Identifies opportunities to utilize Epic resources effectively to remove risks and keep integrated areas on target
