Job Description

Location: Philadelphia, PA

Duration: 1 Year


  • Workday HCM Functional Consultant with expertise in the core HCM modules including Core HCM, Compensation and Absence Management
  • Participate and lead implementation activities including analysis, design, configuration, testing, report writing, data conversion, integrations, documentation and go live preparations
  • Post-implementation support of Workday HCM from a functional perspective . HR System Implementation
  • Experience with large, complex HR Technology projects throughout the project lifecycle including delivery of project plans, estimates, management presentations, user communications and IS coordination
  • Performs Business Requirements Analysis and composes clear, comprehensive Functional Specifications that are usable by our IS or third party partners to enable required capabilities
  • Plans and executes end to end and User Acceptance Testing to ensure quality implementations
  • Develops clear user documentation including Job Aides, Operational Guides, Online Content, etc.
  • Assesses client information needs and develops HR Reports using  Workday Report Writing Tools
  • Planning and execution of upgrades, new releases  enhancements and system fixes

Application & User Support:

  • Demonstrates the ability to diagnose, document and resolve complex HR application issues from a functional, administrative and operational perspective
  • Exhibits a consistently high level of customer service, collaboration and consensus building skills while working with internal clients and/or stakeholders
  • Supports ‘downstream’ integration requirements including HR data model consultation, management of employee data requests and trouble-shooting of data issues encountered by internal and external third party applications
  • Leads systems administration and data management activities including  systems maintenance, data maintenance, table maintenance, integration monitoring, data uploads, and configuration functions for HR Technology applications
  • Collaborate with Information Technology function as well as Third Party Implementation Partner
  • Acts as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on HR applications including how to best leverage system capabilities to satisfy specific client needs
  • Evaluates, approves and administers requests for access to confidential employee information; plays lead role in HR security administration activities including devising and maintaining an effective security model

HR Technology Orientation:

  • Possesses and applies comprehensive HR domain knowledge when devising solutions or servicing the needs of the client base; Builds breadth of HR professional knowledge across all HR domains
  • Displays a high level of expertise in the HR Technology discipline  – stays abreast of market trends and applies best practices by maintaining external focus
  • Leads less experienced HR Technology Analysts by providing consulting, mentoring, training, and development
  • Champions technology-enabling change initiatives across the organization


  • Workday HCM software experience
  • Experience working with large Workday Implementation Partners (e.g. KPMG, Deloitte, Accenture, PwC, etc.)

  • Certifications in Workday HCM Core modules preferred
  • Other certifications a plus including: HRIP, PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PMP
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology or related field
  • Relevant academic concentrations include: HR Technology, HR Management, Human Capital Management, Business Intelligence, Health Care Administration, Information Systems
  • Masters Degree in Business Administration or Information Technology a plus
  • 6 to 10 years of experience working in an Human Resources or Information Technology environment
