Job Description

Location: Chesterfield, MO

Duration: 3+ Months

Description:

  • Provide technical support for the  Server environment and associated applications
  • Provide technical support for the  Server environment and associated applications
  • Perform daily tasks to ensure the stability and optimization of the server environment, which includes proactively identifying potential system issues before they become a problem, working with team members in deciding a resolution, and implementing the agreed upon resolutions
  • Responsible for maintenance of the operating systems on all Corporate servers, end user support, monitoring system usage and performance, patching, management of backup and recovery of the operating system and third-party applications, file-system management, process automation, server installation/configuration, and third-party application support including installations and configurations
  • Interface with business users and stakeholders to determine needs
  • Review operational and organizational changes, assess how these changes will affect the server environment and incorporate the changes into the system architecture, as needed
  • Coordinate, test, and implement all enhancements or new releases of the Operating Systems and business critical software
  • Monitor, analyze, and evaluate system utilization to ensure the appropriate and efficient use of applications and system resources

Qualifications:

  • 1st position – looking for Messaging Sr Engineer with specialty in the MDM (mobile/BYOD) space
  • 2nd position – looking for Messaging Sr Engineer with specialty in the eFax (electronic fax technology) space
  • Looking for very specific engineering (not just administrative) experience with electronic fax technology, such as RightFax or FAXCOM.
  • Second position, looking for very specific engineering (not just administrative) experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM) and Bring-Your-Own-Device (BYOD) projects.
  • MDM technologies include, but not limited to: MaaS360 (ß standard), GOOD, AirWatch, Microsoft InTune

Additional Information:

  • My team is splitting up into “Design” and “Delivery.”
  • These 2 positions will remain reporting to me when the transition completes, and will join the other 4 members of the team.
  • The “Design” team will be focus on roadmap and strategy, responsible for design (obviously), planning and pre-build become technology gets handed off to the “Delivery” team to support and maintain.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, related field or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of related experience.
  • Experience with the design and implementation of enterprise wide messaging projects (ex. Unified Communications).
  • Experience troubleshooting advanced messaging problems including issues that require interfacing with vendor engineers.
  • Experience developing standard documents for diagnosing and testing email, efax, video related issues.
  • Advanced experience publishing professional documentation as related to specific messaging projects.
  • Ability to provide technical support to team members.
  • Advanced experience with implementation and design of emerging email and efax technologies (ex. Clustering, Archiving).
  • Advanced experience supporting video technologies (ex. H.323, SIP, Tandberg, Polycom).
  • Advanced experience supporting email gateways, filters, and encryption solutions (ex. Ironport, Globalcerts).
  • Advanced experience with design and implementation of mobile email solutions.
  • Experience supporting multi-vendor technology solutions.
