Job Description

Location: Hartford, CT

Duration: 6 months

Responsibilities: 

  • Manages the staff and operations of the EPIC Training, QA and Communications unit; sets staff performance standards and conducts performance evaluations
  • Directs and coordinates functions responsible for EPIC system training, testing and communications
  • Oversees the training of system application trainers, testers, communication specialists, and clinical enterprise system users on new technologies; testing specifications and testing execution
  • Establishes guidelines for documentation of business processes and associated system training curriculum
  • Monitors the development and management of application software upgrade projects and teams, and the go live plans for the clinical enterprise users
  • Implements and ensures ongoing maintenance and development of quality and patient safety testing assessments of the systems and processes implemented
  • Builds working relationships with the EPIC department and other internal institution departments to facilitate productive exchanges of information for improvements to training, quality assurance and communications
  • Develops, facilitates, and maintains strong relationships with physician and nursing/ancillary advisory committees, and senior steering committee management;  developing presentations, presenting options and gaining consensus/agreement as needed
  • Stays abreast of current technical, training, communication and quality assurance trends; influences change to improve organizational effectiveness, systems, quality, and/or services
  • Assists in the creation, development, and delivery of strategic EPIC programs, projects, work plans, services, policies and procedures
  • Performs other related duties as required
