Duration: 6+ Months

Position Purpose: Provide technical support for the Centene Server environment and associated applications

Job Description:

  • Provide operational and technical support to ensure the ongoing stability to the SharePoint server environments.
  • Be a SharePoint trainer and evangelist for those in the company who are new to SharePoint.
  • Assist in the technical support of the Centene SharePoint environment and its applications.
  • Perform tasks which include but not limited to end-user support, trouble ticket resolution, server maintenance and patching and process/procedural updates.
  • Prepare and present training for HealthNet employees in California who have never used SharePoint before.
  • Training would probably be for 2 to 3 weeks.
  • Responsible for schedule, test, and implement enhancements or new releases of the server Operating Systems.
  • Work with senior/lead system engineers to understand and implement IT infrastructure designs and rollouts.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, related field or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of related experience.
  • Experience with the design and implementation of enterprise wide messaging projects (ex. Unified Communications).
  • Experience troubleshooting advanced messaging problems including issues that require interfacing with vendor engineers.
  • Experience developing standard documents for diagnosing and testing email, efax, video related issues.
  • Advanced experience publishing professional documentation as related to specific messaging projects.
  • Ability to provide technical support to team members.
  • Advanced experience with implementation and design of emerging email and efax technologies (ex. Clustering, Archiving).
  • Advanced experience supporting video technologies (ex. H.323, SIP, Tandberg, Polycom).
  • Advanced experience supporting email gateways, filters, and encryption solutions (ex. Ironport, Globalcerts).
  • Advanced experience with design and implementation of mobile email solutions.

Experience supporting multi-vendor technology solutions.
