Location: Tampa, FL

Duration: Permanent

Responsibilities: 

  • The Director of Dental Operations will focus on executing numerous operational tasks in each of Client locations with the goal of enhancing practice level performance and growth
  • Provide oversite and support to site managers and administrative staff
  • Assists the Dental Director with meeting dental strategic goals and objectives and implements continuous improvement initiatives
  • Provides reports on the status of each center’s performance, and key metrics to the Dental Director
  • Monitors and manages daily fiscal operations and provider productivity to ensure a positive financial status
  • Provide support to Site Managers and Care Team Members
  • Staff management at site
  • Participates in site meetings, staffing and disciplinary actions
  • Review and approve payroll of site managers
  • Monitors the accuracy of patient scheduling, insurance verification, payment posting, referrals and generation of claims
  • Staff retention and replacement
  • Work with HR and Office Manager to maintain staff ratio
  • Participate in the interviewing process to fill vacant positions
  • Assist in discussions and disciplinary actions of care team members and providers
  • Determine if additional training and development opportunities are needed for support staff
  • Community outreach activities
  • Maintain open communication with county schools for student dental services.
  • Ensures education is provided at the schools to support school based dental program
  • Assists in the support of community outreach activities such as dental health fairs
  • Dental education and development
  • Participate in dental training and seminars
  • Coordinate with HR representative for placement of dental students’ externships
  • Assist dentist and site managers as needed with preforming annual evaluations and peer reviews
  • Preparation and maintenance of federal surveys and accreditations
  • Prepare and participate in AAAHC and HRSA mock visits and prep for site visits
  • Responsible for the inventory of equipment, instruments and supplies
  • Communicate any equipment repairs or maintenance issues with Dental Director
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with local, state and federal rules and regulations and accrediting bodies
  •  Ensure patient confidentiality and EMR security at all times
  • Maintain patient information within HIPAA
  • Keep other care team members informed when situations occur that disrupts timely patient flow through site
  • Consistently participates in and actively adheres to patient care expectations to attain clinical goals set forth in the Health Care Plans and the Quality Improvement / Quality Assurance (QI/QA)
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field required. Master’s Degree preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years leadership experience in a dental practice setting is required
  • Basic understanding of medical terminology and documentation
  • Ability to use basic mathematical skills
  • Able to preform repetitive tasks
