Location: Durham, NC

Duration: 6 Months

Description:

  • The Business Systems Analyst handles functions related to managing the day-to-day execution of data for their domain systems support area.
  • Through their knowledge of Facets, the incumbent provides subject matter expertise to:
  • Expedite resolution and remediation of production incidents through triage, customer consultation, analysis of impact, and assessment of whether a stop-gap solution is available;
  • Within the scope of an incident or a project, define and validate requirements, business functional design, and technical design for medium business issues within their domain areas.
  • Support query requests, quality assurance, testing, software upgrades, and larger scale problem resolution.
  • This position works directly with IS and internal Configuration partners to address business issues within their domain area.
    Communicate and validate requirements with stakeholders and identified SMEs.
  • Collaborate with project teams to adhere to solution scope and maintain requirements traceability.
  • Develop new procedures, specifications for system changes or recommendations for product and/or process changes. Facilitate the implementation of changes with management and staff.
  • Provide timely and accurate access to data, distribute reports and present/explain results to business area supported as well as to other areas.
  • Support business vendor relationships by documenting business issues, determining project needs, and supporting training as needed.

Hiring Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of analysis experience to include experience with research, process analysis, writing business requirements and business functional design.
  • If no degree, 5 years of analysis experience as stated above.
    Hiring Preferences:
  • Experience in or knowledge of the health care industry is strongly preferred.
  • Strong oral and written communication, listening and facilitation skills needed.
  • Strong PC Skills to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Commitment to excellent customer service.
  • Strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills, including ability to interpret and present quantitative data.
  • Ability to work in teams and independently.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Effective presentation and meeting facilitation skills.
  • Working knowledge of business analysis methodology
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies.
