Job Description

Location: United States

Duration: Permanent

Responsibilities: 

  • Create summary reports, data extracts, and other financial analyses for management and external vendors
  • Pull underlying data by creating/modifying SQL queries to run in Epic’s Clarity database
  • Adjust query outputs in Excel, add formulas, charts, and graphs to summarize data and show underlying trends
  • Link output data to other workbooks to create more complex data models if required
  • Uses Visual Studio to generate appropriate output format
  • Uses Excel VBA to automate reports
  • Build contract models using Epic contract modeling tools
  • Build contract models in Excel by querying Epic’s Clarity database
  • Refresh underlying claim data in contract models as contract terms change
  • Build SQL templates to pull patient, claim, department, or enterprise-wide data
  • Maintains and updates the templates after each Epic upgrade
  • Thorough understanding of source data systems and their interaction with medical claims
