Epic Certified Reporting Workbench & Radar Administrator Consultant

Duration: 6+ Months

We are seeking a qualified candidate for the position of an Epic Reporting Workbench and Radar Administrator for a consultant opportunity. This person must be certified in Reporting Workbench Report Writing and Administration and Radar Administration. Other functionality includes assisting team in building standard templates and custom reports for specific modules. This person may act as a backup for other modules, depending on experience and certification. This person will help manage the Epic Report writing team, and act as a liaison with application teams to ensure long term success of Epic reporting.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage all Reporting templates that control workbench and crystal report parameters
  • Manages the Application Analysts design and build of both workbench reports and Radar components/dashboards
  • Manage the working relationship between the clarity report writers and application teams to ensure workbench and clarity reports meet standards
  • Organize/create reporting councils between all facilities
  • Design and develop custom Workbench reports and Radar dashboards to support the Epic rollout
  • Manage reporting security by controlling the reporting groups on both the EMP record as well as the RPT record (Template Manager)
  • Provide support to all Report Writers before, during and after their certifications
  • Work with users to make sure all reports are working as intended in hyperspace
  • Create linkages from one Masterfile to another in order to have proper criteria and columns
  • Act as a backup resource to support other Epic modules by creating reports as well as templates

Qualifications / Required Skill:

  • Epic Reporting Workbench and/or Radar Administrator
  • Data model certification in Reporting Workbench Administration and Radar Administration
  • Has experience working with facility leadership, with extensive knowledge of executive needs
  • Nice to have Epic BID certifications in other modules
  •  Proficiency with SQL & relational database concepts, including primary and foreign keys, joins, etc.
  • Demonstrated experience with report writing tools including Crystal (required) and Business Objects (preferred)
  • Deep understanding of system build, end user workflows, and pattern of use
  • Has created Radar Dashboards and components, as well as reporting workbench reports.
  • Familiarity with Epic applications and database structures
  • Understands completely how reporting security works
  • Has created templates and has a firm grasp of epic crystal integration
  • Meet with application analysts (AA) and report consumers to understand template needs
  • Review upgrade documentation related to Clarity features and related Crystal reporting content and determine how to implement the changes
