Job Description

Location: San Jose, CA

Duration: 6+ Months

Responsibilities:

  • Will be responsible for the architecture and development of Enterprise scale analytic content across the continuum of care for clinical and financial subject areas
  • Development of queries/stored procedures
  • Data transformation and normalization processes
  • Summary tables to store metric content
  • Security mechanisms to handle security for users at different echelons of the organization spanning several cross functional areas, taking into account access to combined source data in a data warehouse setting.
  • Will also be responsible for helping establish development standards for an Enterprise scale organization to ensure that a solid foundation of development and upgrade procedures are put in place taking into account Vendor released software frameworks and content.

Skills and Requirements:

  • Experience working in a healthcare setting with reporting experience against an EMR is mandatory
  • Experience working with data aggregation in a Healthcare setting that encompasses data from various Healthcare settings including Inpatient, Ambulatory, Behavioral Health, Custody and also data from Payer data sources
  • Experience with Epic’s datalink process to update the Epic System with specific external data elements
  • Experience working with Medi-Cal Payer Eligibility data including strong knowledge of AID-Codes for Medi-Cal
  • Expert level SQL coding skills
  • SQL Performance Tuning/Error Handling
  • Logical and Physical Data Modelling
  • Expert knowledge of SQL Server Role Based security
  • Excellent knowledge of development (SSAS, SSRS, SSIS) in MS-SQL Server
  • Excellent skills in SQL programming, debugging, developing stored procedures
  • Prior experience in development of dashboards/reports using Operational Data Stores or Data Marts/Cubes desirable
  • Experience with EMPI software like Initiate, NextGate or Epic Identity a plus
  • Experience with Quality Measures reporting in Healthcare a strong plus
  • Experience working with data extractions and ETL/ELT process and package development in healthcare a strong plus
  • Experience with healthcare terminology/codesets like SNOMED, LOINC and others a strong plus
  • Experience with one or more of Business Objects Enterprise suite, Tableau, SQL Developer, Crystal etc.
