Job Description

Location: Baton Rouge, LA

Duration: 6 Months

Description: 

  • The candidate must be an expert in CallidusCloud Incentive Compensation Management (ICM) system, previously Actek/Acom3, which we use to automate commission plans and the resulting calculation of commissions payouts.
  • Make new commission plans and changes
  • Create new reports and changes (via iReports)
  • Build new data integrations and changes
  • Make workflow changes
  • Perform inquiry resolution
  • Validate reports and make administration changes via the UI.
  • Strong T-SQL programming including SQL Server Management Studio 2008, FTP files, Groovy/or Java language including developing Jasper Server iReports.
  • Specific knowledge in hold logic, indexing for performance, troubleshooting payouts, re-designing compensation plans.
  • Business domain knowledge in Medicare Advantage is a plus.
  • Business domain knowledge in Producer Onboarding is a plus.

Position Purpose:

  • Under general direction, performs programming and analysis tasks on business systems using development technologies such as C#, SSRS, Crystal Reports, SSIS, SQL Coding, Share Point and XML.
  • Requires extensive technical knowledge and understanding of business applications.
  • Evaluates the business and technical needs of an organization to resolve customer issues and requirements.
  • Formulates and defines scope and objectives for assigned projects.
  • Works with business and technical stakeholders to devise or modify solutions for complex problems.
  • Acts as team leader on projects.
  • Assists in scheduling and coordinating projects.
  • Instructs, directs, monitors, and assists in assigning and scheduling the work of other team members.
  • Documents system and functional requirements, incorporating technical requirements to develop the solution.
  • Designs solutions and prepares detailed specifications.
  • Enhances, tests, and debugs systems per approved business and technical requirements.
  • Documents all programming and systems enhancements.
  • Creates detailed test cases and supports testing team for final user acceptance and quality assurance review.
  • Participates in the development of software user manuals.
  • Provides technical support and troubleshooting assistance on software application related issues.
  • Maintain configuration management.

Nature and Scope: 

  • This position has no direct reports, but may mentor less experienced Software Developers.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent degree.
  • Four years of additional relevant experience can be used in lieu of degree.
  • Must have a minimum of seven years of IT experience using C#, SSRS, Crystal Reports, SSIS, SQL Coding, Share Point and/or XML or comparable computing language as approved by the hiring manager.
  • Ability to think strategically, balance long and short-term priorities.
  • Ability to establish and maintain a high level of trust and confidence with clients; establish strong working relationships with business and technology partners at all levels; exercise sound judgment; collaborate effectively with peers, subordinates and superiors.
  • Must understand and have experience in all aspects of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize a heavy workload in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to perform analysis and programming activities (analysis, design, development, coding, testing, and debugging new software or significant enhancements to existing software) at highest technical level.
  • Understanding of business operations and key business drivers.
  • The candidate must be flexible in terms of working practices as the role requires on call rotation which might include some evening, weekend and holiday work.

Accountabilities: 

  • Gather information from stakeholders to document functional, system and data requirements.
  • Assess available technologies and create detailed technical specifications or data models for development of new or modifications to existing internal applications or systems.
  • Develop and maintain internal systems or applications involving various programming languages.
  • Maintain existing applications by fixing defects, adding new functionality, and upgrading components.
  • Perform testing, analysis, and debugging on applications and systems to identify and fix problems.
  • Use development specifications to create detailed test cases.
  • Analyze results of testing to ensure technology solution matches the organization’s business needs.
  • Mentor stakeholders and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented technologies.
  • Research and remain informed of new technology and development tools.
  • Provide support and mentor testing team on an as needed basis.
  • Provide leadership, advice, training, and direction to less experienced peers.
  • Responsible for working with others in the design of applications and IT solutions.
  • Responsible for working with others in the creation and modification of coding and design standards for applications and IT solutions.
  • May be responsible for project completion, implementation, and user satisfaction.
  • Document system problems and resolutions for future reference.
  • Provides technical support and troubleshooting assistance on software application related issues.
  • Maintain configuration management.
