Consistently demonstrate adherence to Medicare and Medicaid regulations which directly or indirectly relate to the performance and job expectations and participate in hospital and department specific practices to maintain a clean, safe and comfortable environment for patients and staff.
Maintain the security and confidentiality of data and information used in performance of his/her daily duties conforming to hospital policy, laws and regulations as appropriate. Following established policies and procedures to identify and reduce the risks of acquiring or transmitting infection.
Perform all Clinical Device medical devices integration via middleware application (Capsule) to an Enterprise Electronic Medical Record application.
Perform performance inspections and safety and repair maintenance on complex medical equipment such as infusion pumps, laboratory devices, patient monitoring/telemetry systems, surgical devices, nurse call and other communication equipment, physical therapy equipment, etc. in accordance with manufacturer’s and departmental standards and procedures.
Perform major/minor repairs of complex medical equipment using manufacturer’s recommendations, test procedures, diagnostic and accepted engineering standards and comprehends medical electronic equipment and systems to a high degree.
Assist manufacturers and hospital personnel in planning, installation, and in-service of complex medical equipment and systems.
Perform basic information technology troubleshooting in regards infrastructure network, computerized middleware devices, this will include working as part of the Integrated Health Technology Department.
